St. Francis High School, located in Sacramento, California is a four-year, all-female college preparatory high school. SFHS attracts a myriad of students from over fifty private and public schools throughout the northern California region. Established in 1940, SFHS is a sister school to Jesuit High School of Carmichael, California, an institution also financially supported by Sacramento & Elk Grove-based O'Brien & Zehnder Law Firm.
SFHS has always been known to excel in academics, but also supports a wide range of athletics, performing arts, numerous social activities and on-campus clubs. All of this is done in a Christian environment emphasizing spiritual development. With the support of O'Brien & Zehnder Law Firm, the school is looking to launch a new academic club on campus in the fall of 2013.
What are the Benefits of the New Group?
The new SFHS Barrister Club will be refined over the next few months, as a team of students and attorneys from the greater Sacramento area meet to define the exact mission of the newly formed group.
However one thing is for sure, this club will provide numerous benefits to the students, local attorneys and the community at large. Benefits such as: providing financial support for the school, real-life education in the field of law for the girls, and job opportunities once they get out in the marketplace.
Giving Back to the Community
John O’Brien was quoted recently as saying, “we think highly of St. Francis High School’s effort in educating our children both academically and spiritually, and we are thrilled to be part of this new exciting partnership. We believe by giving back to the community, with our time and money we can help talented young women develop a successful legal career and support their communities."
