The Elk Grove-based O'Brien & Zehnder Law Firm is proud to announce that it is expanding its legal team with the addition of a new plaintiff personal injury attorney, Grant R. Zehnder.
Mr. Zehnder is a Magna Cum Laude (Great Distinction) graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and a native of the Sacramento area.
Mr. Zehnder grew up in Elk Grove and attended Elk Grove High School. With such strong ties to Elk Grove, Mr. Zehnder is extremely excited about the opportunity to build his practice and help individuals in the area his family has called home for nearly eighty years and over five generations.
Grant’s Zehnder’s Legal Experience
Grant Zehnder is currently a member of the Sacramento County and California Bar Associations, and also serves as a member of the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Zehnder comes to the O'Brien & Zehnder Law Firm after spending three years as a defense-side civil litigator. During that time, Mr. Zehnder built up his expertise in the areas of personal injury and labor and employment, litigating cases in both federal and superior courts.
While in law school, Mr. Zehnder served as a Law Clerk for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and gained valuable trial experience as a Certified Student-Attorney at the Federal Defenders Office in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Grant Zehnder's Education
After graduating from Elk Grove High School in 2002, Mr. Zehnder moved to San Diego, California where he received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego. While at UC San Diego Mr. Zehnder also earned a minor in Psychology.
Following his graduation in 2006, Mr. Zehnder moved to Los Angeles for a year to work in the sports industry while preparing for law school. In 2007, Mr. Zehnder moved back to Sacramento to begin his studies at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
In addition to serving as a comment writer for the McGeorge Law Review, Mr. Zehnder’s academic excellence was officially recognized when he won the Witkin Award for the highest grade in both Torts and Evidence.
Mr. Zehnder graduated Magna Cum Laude (With Great Distinction) from McGeorge in 2010 and was a welcomed member of the Order of the Coif (Top 10%) and Traynor Honor Society.
In light of Mr. Zehnder’s credentials, the O'Brien & Zehnder Law Firm is looking forward to the fresh synergies that will result from the collaboration with such a talented new colleague. Grant brings more power to our law firm and we are pleased to have him as a part of our team.
