What to do following a head injury?

The first and most important thing that needs to be done is to ask for medical assistance. Even if you don’t notice any obvious signs, make sure a medical check-up is performed. Inform your physician about all aspects of the accident and all your symptoms.

Keep receipts of all your medical expenses to ensure reimbursement. If you are not in immediate danger, make sure to document the circumstances of the accident, take pictures and write down the contact details of any possible witnesses. If the injury was the result of an automobile accident, insist that a police report is filed and avoid signing any agreements before talking to a lawyer.
